Arun Das
Born and raised in India, Arun was familiar with notions of Vedic culture and spirituality. He finished engineering from the prestigious NIT Surat. On completion of his studies, he started in a lucrative job within the public sector of India. Yet he felt something missing from his life, a yearning to discover the real essence of life. Looking to transform his life, he travelled to the UK to finish his Masters in Subsea Engineering. Successfully completing his masters and working as an Integrity Engineer for a multinational firm, his longing to seek answers to deeper spiritual questions was ever increasing.
His curiosity led him to the Krishna Eco farm in Scotland where he started distributing spiritual literature to Scottish towns and cities. During this time, he had a strong realisation that when we share knowledge with others, we ourselves experience real happiness. Wanting to continue learning and growing, he moved to Bhaktivedanta Manor in 2017, where he spent the next 2 years in the Men’s ashram, travelling across the country distributing spiritual literature.
He also involved in delivering courses, giving seminars and organising retreats. His love for nature and eco sustainable living further led him to spend some time in the Manor Goshala serving Krsna’s cows. Arun is now working as a Business Analyst. He is a regular member of the outreach programme at Bhaktivedanta Manor. He was involved in delivering Srimad Bhagavatam discourses and believes the best way to give back is to share the essence of the vedic knowledge from Srila Prabhupada’s books.
