Aruddha Devi Dasi

Aruddha devi dasi and her husband Anantarupa das started a temple in Boise, USA, in 1986 as a small weekly program in their home. Now thirty years later there is a beautiful Vedic temple for Sri Sri Radha Bankebihari.  They home-schooled their two sons, Radhika Ramana and Gopal Hari,  using a curriculum based on Srimad Bhagavatam translated by A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. They completed their Phd from Oxford University in England at the age of 21.

She is the author of Homeschooling Krishna’s Children published by BBT. This book provides a complete guide to Krishna conscious parenting. With the help of a team of parents from around the world who are creating study materials, she has been publishing Srimad Bhagavatam guide books for children and youth. These guides provide children, parents and teachers with a delightful way to study Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Bhāgavatam, chapter by chapter. There are chapter summaries, key themes, analogies, critical thinking activities and character descriptions, with the aim of cultivating in our children a lifelong love for reading Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.

Aruddha devi dasi is convinced that the Bhagavatam can give a child everything he/she needs to become a well-rounded devotee and member of society. For this reason, now at the age of 70, she is travelling the world to share her wisdom and experience.
