Monk challenge

April 21, 2023

This week honestly was life changing in terms of my spiritual journey . The monks are very welcoming and go out their way to ensure we are looked after and always put our needs before theirs . I have learnt soo much from this experience and the level of detail is incredible to the point where I now feel confident to put all the things I have learnt into practice and continue my evolution. One week can honestly change your life if you take the plunge . Hare Krishna

Ecstatic experience 🙏🏻🥺

I would like to thank the manor and its team for making such a great course. This has been such a divine and loving experience for me, meeting new people , staying with them and walking out spiritual journeys together, has made me for more than just happy and compassionate.

The course is designed in such a beautiful way so that a beginner could also learn to grow spiritually and stay enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend this to everyone ❤️.

Hare Krishna!

An experience like no other...

November 30, 2021

Hare Krishna, firstly I would like to say a huge thank you personally to Rasraj prabhu and Ian prabhu. Without their individual efforts and time given to us visitors, the ‘Be a monk challenge’ wouldn’t haven’t been what it was.

Where do I start with this? Well I have to say the whole experience is truly something very special. It was a shame I couldn’t attend the entire week but fortunately the kind souls at the Bhakti Vedanta Manor were kind enough to accept my late attendance. I arrived Wednesday afternoon, and left the place Saturday evening.

Anyone who is new to spirituality or is looking for answers to the deeper questions that you may have been asking throughout your life, this is the place where you will get your answers. The tranquility combined with the level of bhakti (devotion) that the manor and the ISCKON community generates is truly special. You will walk away with an experience that will surely influence the way you live your life from thereafter.

I have been blessed to have come from a deep spiritual background, what I really liked and appreciated was how the course was for individuals that had never thought about their spirituality. I was fortunate enough to share my time with a lad that had zero spiritual background. Watching him grow spiritually was one of the highlights of my stay, and a true reflection of how well the ‘Be a monk challenge’ was presented.

I could go on more about my experience but it is best left to your own individual experience. Come to the manor and go through the process yourself. See how it serves you.

Thank you so much for inviting me. I shall be returning again.

Hare Krishna,

Chet

Go in with an open mind ready to learn from everyone. Coming from an atheist background staying a week here was an intimidating idea, but I was made to feel welcome quicker than anywhere before.

Living at the manor for a short week opened my eyes to how different life can be.

Everyone has time for you, an atmosphere of listening, understanding and compassion – so different from the outside world.

Every time I’ve interacted with these guys my life perspective has changed.

Thanks to all the residents for being so welcoming, especially Ian and Rasaraj.

Amazing experience. Genuinely lovely people

November 30, 2021

I was not sure what I was letting myself in for. I’ve done retreats before, but never at a temple I’ve visited for years.

It was a wonderful experience. It made human the Monks which have always been so alien for me. I grew in my own spiritual path and made some deeper connections with residents and colunteers of the manor.

I highly recommend it to anyone on the spiritual path, and I myself will do it again for a recharge.
