Hare Krishna. As long as we are sincere in our devotion to Krishna then every other relationship will be justified. There may be differences of opinion but one can take comfort knowing that by serving Krishna one is acting in accordance with the highest welfare of all. It is stated in the Bhagavatam:
devarsi-bhutapta-nrnam pitrnam
na kinkaro nayamrni ca rajan
sarvatmana yah saranam saranyam
gato mukundam parihrtya kartam
"Anyone who has taken shelter of the lotus feet of Mukunda, the giver of liberation, giving up all kinds of obligation, and has taken to the path in all seriousness, owes neither duties nor obligations to the demigods, sages, general living entities, family members, humankind or forefathers." (Bhag. 11.5.41) Such obligations are automatically fulfilled by performance of devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

In this verse and purport it is shown clearly the manner with which every individual on the path of devotional service should conduct themselves. Translation: My dear Arjuna, one who is engaged in My pure devotional service, free from the contaminations of previous activities and from mental speculation, who is friendly to every living entity, certainly comes to Me.
